INGREDIENTS
¼ cup unsalted butter
2 pounds carrots, peeled, quartered and cut into 2-inch-long sticks
¼ teaspoon salt
¼ cup water
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 teaspoons fresh ginger, peeled and grated
1 teaspoon sesame seeds
Green onion, sliced thin
FOR SERVING:
Chicken, sliced
Ham, sliced
Turkey, sliced
PREPARATION
STEP 1
In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter and sauté carrots with salt until tender—about 5 minutes.
STEP 2
Add the water, brown sugar and ginger and cook for another 5 minutes or until water has reduced and carrots are glazed. Garnish with sesame seeds and onion, and serve.
Serving Suggestions: Pair with chicken, ham or roasted turkey.
